Exactly. With filters working as explained in my previous post “Everything you want to know….” 16 stops does the trick every time, even in really choppy water, as the water was in this image.
I like the ripples in the foreground and the structure on the horizon. Both lift the image, making us look closely and ask questions. I like photographs that do that.

This stopped me cold. What a beautiful photograph. The subdued colors work so well with the way you framed the horizon.
